"In December 2015 I found that my septic tank had stopped working, I employed a local drainage company to inspect the tank and find what was wrong with it and correct the fault. The said company carried out an inspection of the tank and surrounding drainage fields and reported that the tank had sustained accidental damage to baffles. "I’m not a drainage expert, and when we knew we had a problem with our septic tank that might be the subject of a claim I engaged UKDP. We live in the north of Scotland so access to experts in this field is sparse, but we were delighted when UKDP said they had agents that operated across the UK and could help.
They sent their expert up from Nottingham to assess the issue and took the claim on. It was a complex matter but throughout the process it was dealt with with the utmost professionalism. Even when the insurance company backtracked on their offer UKDP pursued the claim through the FSA and secured payment – plus compensation!
